Davis, Harris v. Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Trial December 2000
David T. McCann
LASC case number: 97K23673

This case arises out of an incident that occurred on June 18, 1997, in downtown Los Angeles. At that time, an MTA passenger bus was approaching a bus zone when a passenger car parked along a curb moved forward and hit the bus on the right rear side of the bus. Plaintiffs, Davis and Harris, claimed they were passengers on the bus and they alleged soft tissue injuries to their necks and backs. No demands of offers were made. This case was tried to a judge in December, 2000, both sides having waived jury. The court granted LACMTA’s motion for nonsuit following the presentation of plaintiffs’ case.
